This unique silver neck ornament is from South Sumatra with its indigenous name, "Bulan Temanggal", was used for a very important celebration such as wedding ceremony in a noble family. The three "Bunga Temanggals" were connected by silver chain following the sizes and at the end with thin, long red glass trade beads. Each bead has a fine patina, which is clear that the necklace was worn and much used.
